RAIN AND ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS

(Enter public service announcement narrator)

No one likes to ride in the rain - it makes the pavement slippery, and it sucks to get cold and wet.  We will always confirm our lesson the day before with you.  In event of rain or other hazardous weather conditions like excessive wildfire smoke, we will cancel.  (Cries in Northern Californian.)

Bad weather will never be treated as a cancellation on your end! We will rebook at the earliest the forecast permits! (Angrily shakes fist at sky.)

CANCELLATION POLICY

We require a hundred dollar deposit upon booking your lesson.  We get it - accidents happen - but we are also a small business and we book these time slots out especially for YOU. Less than 48 hours notice and you forfeit your deposit if we cannot rebook our time on such short notice, although this does occasionally happen, especially in the summertime when we are booked solid with a waitlist.  However, there is no guarantee.  We are however happy to rebook you in case you do need to cancel on short notice - no hard feelings!

FREE WRITTEN PERMIT SECRET WIZARD TIPS AND TRICKS.

Many people don’t know that the written permit lets you actually ride a motorcycle! You just can’t ride at night, with a passenger, or on the freeway. (All overrated activities anyways.)

Read the booklet - here it is online. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/file/motorcycle-driver-handbook-pdf/

The DMV will give you three tries to take the written test if you fail the first two.  If you pass, the person conducting the test will scream with joy and fireworks will go off…or maybe not, it depends on your DMV staff member.

Warning - the test might throw you some curve ball questions like, “What is the maximum amount of jail time for riding under the influence?” and the like. What they are looking for is for you to precisely regurgitate the answers to prove that you’ve read the booklet.  It’s okay to be a little overwhelmed by the DMV test - like most of the other fun activities that take place at the DMV, it’s confusing, long, and tortuous. But luckily, it’s not expensive - the current rate as of 10/23 is a whooping 37 dollars. What a deal!

LOCATIONS

We teach in various locales in the East Bay, but we do travel to San Francisco to accommodate our previous clients  as well, and can fit you in on a city day if needed. Our exact location will depend on the lot we are using for the day and we will give you advance notice when we book your session.
